Kitchen Cleaning Tips

If you think the kitchen is the cleanest room in the house, you may be surprised to learn that it is actually the least cleaned room in the house. Here are some handy kitchen cleaning tips for you to keep your kitchen spotless and sparkling clean. Some of these tips are even easy to follow, and so can make a real difference in your daily life in the kitchen.

Stove Cleaning

When you cook on the stove, dustpans off. You don’t have to wash the pan; you just want to get some dirt off the surface. If you use metal utensils, dust them off, too.

Mop or vacuum the floor of the area and then rinse it with water-based soap to remove any spills. Wipe any spills down with a paper towel.

Dust kitchen countertops regularly, if you can. You can find commercial kitchen cleaners, or you can try using powdered white vinegar with one part water and two parts vinegar to clean your countertops. Just follow the instructions for use, and you will be amazed at how clean the surface is.

Use Hair Dryer

Leave coffee stains on kitchen cabinets for a couple of days, or you can dry them up with a hairdryer. A coffee stain is an unsightly mark on your office. Instead of scrubbing it out, try letting it soak for a while in a solution of baking soda and water.

If you have a small stack of coffee cups on your counter, and you don’t need them, move them to the bottom of the pile for the night. The next morning, add some vinegar to the coffee and soak the cup, making sure it’s completely saturated. Rinse it thoroughly to remove the vinegar smell.

Store large objects in the refrigerator, including baked goods. Freezing food is not always advisable, but freezing vegetables can be the best thing to do. It is not recommended to store hard foods like cheeses, meats, and eggs in the refrigerator. The reason is that they do not separate the bacteria from the edible pieces, which makes the spoilage easier to notice.

Cleaning Sink

Bacteria can grow in a dirty and well-laid out kitchen, as well as a clean kitchen. In fact, the bathroom or kitchen sink is where most kitchen bacteria get their start.

Keep all your dust mops, and kitchen surfaces clean by sweeping them and using a vacuum cleaner. Clean grout as well with an enzymatic cleaner.

Start to learn how to sanitize your towels and clean dishes by spraying bottle properly. If you don’t already know how to do this, read through your kitchen cleaning instruction manual and take a class on how to properly sanitize objects. There are different sanitizers available, so you should choose one that works for your specific needs.

Final Thoughts

Make a chemical bath to sanitise your kitchen with a multi-purpose chemical sanitizer. You can also do a quick test run by spraying it on your hands, then washing them off. After that, it will have a chance to sanitise.

Clean out the toilet bowl often to kill bacteria. Anybody who has a healthy and regular bowel routine should be good. However, if you have a history of diarrhea or constipation, this may not be the best way to clean the bowl.
